Frequently Asked Questions

I have a patient wearing a TeleSense RCM in Event Only mode, if I want to change the monitoring mode to MCT, does the patient have to come back in the office for a new setup?

No, the TeleSense RCM device can be configured remotely via online configuration from Event Only mode to MCT mode without the patient having to come into the office.  Please contact ScottCare Technical Support for more information.

Is the MCT able to auto-trigger on specific arrhythmias?

Yes, TeleSense will auto-trigger on atrial fibrillation, bradycardia, tachycardia and pause events. The device can also be programmed to automatically send event strips identifying the exit of atrial fibrillation, bradycardia and tachycardia. Automatic EKG recording and transmission on a scheduled interval (ie every ten minutes, every 30 minutes, hourly, daily) can also be programmed on the device.

If I forget my MiFi puck at home but I am still wearing my TeleSense device and it is on, will my data still be recorded?

If the device is on with a charged TeleSense battery and the leads are connected correctly, your data will continue to be recorded; it will just not be sent real-time to your physician’s office until connected to the MiFi again.

How many events does TeleSense store?

The TeleSense RCM stores and automatically transmits an unlimited number of patient events during each 30-day monitoring period. All raw ECG data can be accessed at any point during the monitoring period.

Am I able to change the title of an Event report that I create in EventCare?

Yes, when you are in the Reports window creating the report, select the Consolidated tab and fill out the Report Name line with the report title of your choice.

I accidentally deleted a patient in EventCare, can I get them back?

Yes, all EventCare patients are stored in CardioFile which also acts as a database.  As long as you have not deleted the patient from CardioFile, you can restore the patient.
